Melaleuca viminalis (Weeping Bottlebrush)

DESCRIPTION: A fast-growing native tree, also known as Callistemon viminalis, with graceful weeping branches and bronze-coloured new growth. Highly adaptable, it thrives in moist, well-drained soils but tolerates clay, sand and waterlogged conditions. Its vibrant, nectar-rich flowers attract honeyeaters, bees and butterflies.

USES: Excellent for erosion control and soil stabilisation, as well as hedging, privacy screening and street planting. Provides shade and tolerates urban conditions.
