Corymbia ficifolia (Red-flowering Gum)

DESCRIPTION: A hardy, evergreen small tree with a spreading habit and smooth bark. It produces abundant bright red flowers, attracting nectar-eating birds, bees, butterflies and other insects. It grows well in a range of well-drained soils and is drought tolerant once established.

USES: Suitable as a feature plant, windbreak or screen in parks, reserves and larger garden settings. Its dense growth provides privacy and shelter, while its ability to tolerate pruning makes it suitable for maintaining a desired shape and size.
